Unique Benefits

We will be on selected campuses this coming fall and winter to introduce interested students to our business and to conduct interviews. You can periodically check the campus recruiting calendar on the right to see if we will be coming to your campus. We regret that we can’t visit every campus, so if you’re interested in Stark but don’t see your university listed, we encourage you to review the Open Opportunities section. There, you can find current information about open internship and full-time positions.

Investment Analysts

Investment analysts typically begin their careers on the trading desk, providing support as a member of one of our research teams. Analysts use proprietary fundamental research, third-party research and information gathered from investment banks, dealers and counterparties to forecast trends, value investment opportunities and make investment recommendations.

Stark hires investment analysts to support all of its investment strategies. As a continuously evolving business, the focus of analyst coverage is influenced by changing market opportunities. Over time, an Investment Analyst builds skills that are utilized across a variety of strategies. This flexibility facilitates knowledge transfer within Stark which we believe is a key competitive advantage of our business model. Investment Analysts interface daily with principals and senior members of Stark.

Quantitative Analysts

Quantitative Analysts may begin their careers supporting Stark’s risk management function or they may specialize in quantitative research or trading disciplines. Typical responsibilities include building pricing models, maintaining and enhancing trading models or identifying and measuring firm-wide exposures.

Many of our quantitative analysts have backgrounds in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, financial engineering, finance, economics, mathematics and physics, among other technical disciplines. Similar to Investment Analysts, Quantitative Analysts may build experience and expertise across several investment strategies and will regularly interface with senior management.
